Bhupinder “Sonu” Singh Chandi

Sonu Chandi truly is the embodiment of the American dream. Born in India, Sonu came to America when he was just a teenager, and today he is the President and CEO of The Chandi Hospitality Group which he runs with his two brothers and his wife. Though Sonu is the owner of four thriving restaurants in Santa Rosa, California, and has opened thirteen Mountain Mike’s Pizza locations in the North Bay in the last twelve years - he has no plans on slowing down. Sonu continues to work hard and reach new heights for both his family and his community.

Sunny Chandi, like his older brother and company president Sonu, arrived in the U.S. as a teen. Initially unable to speak English, he completed his education in Walnut Creek public schools, followed by Diablo Valley College and Sonoma State University, where he studied finance.
Today, Sunny spends much of his time as Chandi Hospitality’s Operations Manager and is responsible for helping educate the company’s employees in practices that will simplify the various restaurants’ procedures and make them more efficient as well as managing quality assurance and supervising all four downtown restaurants.
Sunny boils his responsibilities down to a simple formula: “My goal is to check off all the things on the company’s to-do list, and do whatever is necessary to accomplish them.”

Josephina Fregoso

Josephina has extensive experience working in Human Resources and Office Administration including management positions at Chandi Hospitality, Crimson Wine Group, Seghesio Family Vineyard, Eugene Burger Management, A&W Concrete Construction, and St. Joseph the Worker Center. She is a determined and committed person who has the ability to pull a team together.
Josephina utilizes creative thinking and is open to ideas that lead to solution-based results. She knows when to be systematic and utilizes complex thinking and when to go through short cuts and find easy solutions. She is a tenacious, and goes beyond a fixated mind set and is open to new ways of thinking with the ability to explore options. Keeping others motivated and identifying strengths and developing talent for the purpose of moving the team forward is Josephina’s unique strength.
She is also an active member of her community and has served on Fountain grove Ranch Master Association, Architecture Review Board, Dominican University Alumni Board and the Latino Chapter Friends of the Library Board for Sonoma County.
